Working and Learning together with Jesus as one family
During their Science lessons, Year 1 have been studying the resemblances and distinctions amongst plants. They had the opportunity to visit the flower beds and closely examine the diverse root systems of the plants growing. By doing so, they were able to comprehend the purpose of roots for plants and even sketched their own plants, showcasing various root systems. This week, the children will be crafting their own loom boxes during Art. They will engage in activities such as knotting, plaiting and weaving, employing these artistic techniques to design their unique loom boxes! In DT, the children will engage in various activities focused on fruits and vegetables, including learning about their origins and places of growth. They will also have the chance to explore and describe the aromas, flavours, and textures of different fruits and vegetables. The children will get to showcase their creativity by assembling their own delightful fruit skewers. Great job Year 1! Keep up the excellent work!
