Working and Learning together with Jesus as one family
Our football team attended their second competition this year, coming third in the group qualifying for the knockout stage. They won their quarter-final match on penalties 0-0 (3-2 AFT PENS), their semi final match was a jaw dropping match, end to end but St Gregory's winning 3-2. Final time, unfortunately it was a step too far as the boys ran out of steam and had to settle with silver medals losing 2-1. Excellent effort from all involved.
St Gregory's football team (boys) attended their competition on the 24th January. Both teams played within a league of 7 teams where each team played each other once. Our B team finished joint top of their group while the C team missed out on top spot however secured second place. Well done to all. As always we are very proud of your achievements and your sportsmanship.
Our A and B team travelled to Northolt High School to take part in a football competition. The girls did a remarkable job and did not concede one goal during the whole tournament. The A team won all of their games and won their competition. Though the B team were also unbeaten they came second in their league because they drew some matches. Well done girls!
Mr Greig and Mr Sawaf took members of the Year 5/6 football team to William Perkins High School. The team won the tournament and were unbeaten. We are also really proud that they were respectful to each other and their opponents. WELL DONE BOYS!!!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
