30 Hours Nursery Provision

 

St Gregory’s is delighted to let parents know that, in addition to the current 15 hours per week universal nursery provision, we are offering 30 hours’ care provision. 

Children can start Nursery the term after their 3rd Birthday.

There will be formal intakes three times per year, subject to places being available - September / January / April.

The Nursery sessions are as follows:

We operate a soft start for the beginning of the day between 8.40am - 9am. Children can arrive at anytime during this time slot.
The morning session ends at 12pm
The full-day session ends at 3.10pm

 

Parents who are NOT eligible for childcare vouchers, will have the option to pay for the additional 15 hours per week (afternoon session). The costs are listed below:

WHOLE DAY SESSION BREAKDOWN 9am- 3.10pm

                            Afternoon Session (3hrs 10mins per day = 15 hrs 50mins per week) £20 per day £100 per week

Lunch

Parents whose children are booked for whole day sessions, will need to provide their child with a packed lunch and water bottle daily.

Breakfast Club provision for Nursery Children

Breakfast club provision (from 7.40 am) will be available for nursery children (£5 per child, per session). Further details to follow.

Eligibility for 30 hours’ free child care

Parents are entitled to 30 hours’ free childcare if you (and your partner) are:

  • In work - or  on parental leave, sick leave or annual leave
  • Each earning at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week

           (£125.28 if you are over 25) and earning under £100,000 pa

  • This earnings limit does not apply if you are self-employed and started your business less than 12 months ago

           Parents may still be eligible for 30 hours free childcare if you are temporarily working fewer hours and :

  • on furlough through the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme
  • claiming a Self-Employment Income Support Scheme grant

Parents are not eligible if:

  • Only one parent works
  • Your child does not usually live with you
  • The child is your foster child
  • Either you or your partner has a taxable income of over £100,000
  • You are from outside the EEA and your UK residence card says you cannot access public funds

Parents are entitled to 30 hours’ free childcare in addition to claiming Universal Credit, tax credits, childcare vouchers or Tax-Free childcare.

You may be eligible if your partner is working and you are in receipt of Incapacity Benefit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Carer’s Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance.
