Working and Learning together with Jesus as one family
PSHE at St. Gregory’s
PSHE is an important part of our curriculum, supporting pupils to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to thrive as confident, healthy and responsible members of society. Through PSHE, our pupils learn about relationships, health and wellbeing, personal safety, citizenship and the wider world. They are encouraged to understand themselves and others, make informed and responsible choices, and develop resilience, empathy and respect. Our PSHE curriculum provides opportunities for pupils to explore real-life issues, express their views and listen to the perspectives of others. It supports our Catholic ethos and helps pupils to recognise their responsibilities towards themselves, their families, their school community and the wider world.
How PSHE is taught at St Gregory's
PSHE is taught by Mrs Logan in a dedicated PSHE classroom.
We use the Ealing PSHE Scheme of Work to support our teaching in the Autumn and Spring terms.
An additional resource used within PSHE is the NSPCC PANTS programme, which supports pupils in learning about personal safety, appropriate boundaries and how to speak out if something does not feel right.
